UMSC Finance Committee Tours Kyanja Housing Estate.
The Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) Finance Committee, led by Hon. Abdu-wahid Ijosiga, conducted a fact-finding tour of the newly acquired Kyanja Housing Estate in Kyanja, Kawempe Division, a suburb of Kampala City.
The committee, accompanied by UMSC Executive Member Haj Muhammood Kateregga Namuguzi and management committee members including Hon. Nasser Musa Odongkara, the Awqaf departmental head, Sheikh Juma Ali Shiwuyu, Secretary for Hija and UMRA, and Hon. Mr. Shaban Magala, Transport Officer, among others, visited the estate on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023.
The visit was part of the UMSC’s efforts to verify its sources of income while finalizing the drafting of the Annual Budget for the upcoming financial year. The Budget is scheduled to be presented during the ongoing General Assembly at the UMSC headquarters in Old Kampala on November 30th, 2023.
The Kyanja Housing Estate is among the properties owned by the Council, procured using funds obtained from the sale of another land in Sembabule Muslim District.
