Sheikh Juma Bakhit Cucu, the Education Secretary of the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC), has called upon Muslim parents and students to actively embrace and promote the education philosophy developed by his department. This philosophy encourages individuals to persist in their educational journey with the mantra, “Never stop stepping on the path of education until the final steps hinder you from progressing further.”Sheikh Cucu delivered this inspiring message during a special event held at Kakiri Islamic Primary School in the Wakiso Local Government District. The occasion was dedicated to the pupils who are preparing to take their National Leaving Primary Examination, scheduled to commence on November 8th, 2023.
Addressing a captivated audience, Sheikh Cucu stressed the importance of education, highlighting its role in uplifting individuals within society and transforming the community’s infrastructure. He reinforced his remarks by referencing various Holy Quranic verses and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that underscore the significance of education in human enlightenment.
In his concluding words, Sheikh Cucu urged the candidates to engrain the virtues encapsulated by the word “PUSH”: “P” for prayers, “U” for unity, “S” for struggle, and “H” for hope.
Earlier in the program, Mr. Fady Magdy Habash Al-Ata, the Center Director, Mr. Juma Okumu, the Headteacher, and Sheikh Muhammad Isah Mugumba, each shared words of wisdom and encouragement with the candidates.The event witnessed the presence of staff members, respected elders, and other prominent figures.
