Mufti to Muslim Youths-Focus On Education, Life Skills

His Eminence Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda has urged Muslim Youths to always be focused and steady fast in utilizing any opportunity that would enable them to acquire more advanced knowledge and life skills if they are to live meaningful lives in this ever changing world.
This was part of Mufti’s speech delivered by Deputy Mufti, His Eminence Sheikh Abdallah Ibrahim Ssemambo Tamusuza at a Youth Council meeting held in the Islamic Call University College-ICUC Board room the at UMSC Headquarters in Old Kampala Thursday Sept 7th 2023.”Strive to learn more, practice tenets of Islam and work very hard certainly, you will succeed in your endeavors,” Sheikh Ssemambo remarked. On his part, Hon. Counsel Haj Muhammad Ali Aluma, the UMSC Secretary General called upon the participants to mobilize fellow youths to embrace the UMSC developmental programs and other related Gov’t social transformation programs in their respective areas.
He pledged to provide the youths with necessary support towards their designed projects, while Sheikhat Radhiyya Namakula, the Secretary in charge of Women and Children’s affairs who was responsible for Youth prior to the amendment of the UMSC Constitution, handed over a report on state of Affairs on the Muslim Youth.
The Council meeting, which was under the stewardship of their National Chairperson, Hon. Habib Mustafa had length discussions on mobilization of the youth, lobbying of financial resources, networking and linkages with other related Organizations and developmental partners.
They also discussed pressing challenges that included lack of an Office at the UMSC Headquarters with a dedicated responsible for handling Administrative matters related to their activities.
In conclusion, they resolved to hold quarterly meetings and earmarked days for various events targeting fellow youths. The ten Youth Muslim Regional representatives to the UMSC General Assembly present included, Hon. Faizo Sserunjonji, for West Buganda, Hon. Ashraf Ahmad Galiwango, Kampala, Hon. Kawati Ismail – West Nile, Hon.Rukundo Kassim, North Eastern, Hon. Bashir Kawesa, Ankole-Kigezi, Hon. Mubarak Kassim, Eastern, Hon. Mukisa Mubarak, Busoga, Hon. Masereka Uthuman, Bunyoro -Toro, and Hon. Habib Mustafa, East Buganda.

Among the Attendees was Sheikh Abdul-Karim Abdallah Katamba, the Director of Halal.
