UMSC mourns Haj Ishaq Magezi
His Eminence Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda has on his behalf and that of the entire Uganda Muslim Supreme Council-UMSC National Management Committee expressed condolences upon the demise of Haj Ishaq Magezi, the former UMSC Independent Electoral Commission Chairperson. Haj Magezi passed on midmorning June, 26th 2023.
“To you Hon. Abdu-Nasser Magezi, former UMSC Executive Committee, your mother Hajjat Madinah Nakalema, the veteran UMSC Volunteer and the rest of other members of the late Haj Magezi’s family, we are saddened upon the loss of the head of your family. His legacy in the UMSC Constitutional framework and systems strengthening is boldly and widely known during his service in the Muslim affairs for decades. At the same, he was dedicated civil servant who served the nation with distinction,” the Mufti said.
Adding that “We humbly pray to Almighty Allah bless and receive his departed soul with mercy, forgiveness and grant him lofty castles in paradise. We also pray to Allah to strengthen you as a family with patience, courage as you mourn his passing.”
