The Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) has commenced a two-day interface meeting bringing together members of the National Management Committee, Regional Assistants to the Mufti (RAMs), Regional Secretaries Regional Muslim Women Leaders, Regional Youth Leaders, and District Kadhis to strengthen institutional leadership, governance, service delivery and digital transformation.
The meeting, which began on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, at the UMSC Headquarters in Old Kampala, will conclude on Thursday, 30 July 2026. It is being held under the theme: “Strengthening Institutional Leadership, Governance, Service Delivery and Digital Transformation.”
The meeting is being presided over by His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda. Also in attendance are His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad Ali Waiswa, the Deputy Mufti; His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Hafiz Muhammad Harunah Bukenya, the 2nd Deputy Mufti; Hon. Hajji Abbas Muluubya Ssekyanzi, the Secretary General; Hon. Counsel Hajji Muhammad Ali Aluma, the Deputy Secretary General for Finance and Administration; and Hon. Abdul-Razaq Arinda, the Deputy Secretary General for Planning and Development and Sheikh Muhammad Yunus Kamoga, the Amir UMMAH.
The interface meeting provides a platform for UMSC’s national and regional leadership to review institutional performance, strengthen coordination, address emerging challenges, and enhance service delivery across the Muslim community. It also seeks to accelerate the Council’s digital transformation agenda as part of efforts to improve efficiency, accountability, and communication within the institution.
