The Mufti of Uganda, His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, has hosted the Deputy Resident City Commissioner (RCC) of Rubaga Division in Kampala, Mr. Ariho Moses, for discussions on Muslim affairs and activities in the division.
Ariho, who was accompanied by Mr. Daniel Muwanguzi, met the Mufti at his office on Friday, August 28, 2026, and explained that their visit was intended to strengthen cooperation between the office of the RCC and the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) in coordinating Muslim activities within Rubaga Division.
In his welcoming remarks, Mufti Mubaje gave the delegation a brief background of the UMSC and said the visit was timely, noting that he had already responded positively to an invitation from local leaders to visit and lead prayers at Nateete Main Mosque.
The Mufti said the visit to the mosque would take place in the coming weeks, with the specific date to be communicated later.
The Mufti and the delegation subsequently held discussions on matters of mutual interest before he presented Ariho with a copy of the UMSC Constitution for reference on the management and administration of Muslim affairs.

Also present at the meeting were UMSC Secretary General Hon. Hadji Abbas Muluubya Ssekyanzi; Deputy Secretary General in charge of Finance and Administration, Hon. Counsel Haj Muhammad Ali Aluma; Secretary of Awaqaf and Property, Hon. Nasser Musa Odongkara; and Chairperson of the National Muslim Women Council, Hon. Hajjat Sophie Safina Kenyangi.
