UMSC Reviews Progress of Kasawo Secondary School
His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda, last Friday, July 3, 2026, hosted a delegation from the Board of Governors (BOG) of Kasawo Secondary School at his office at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) Headquarters in Old Kampala.
The delegation was led by the Board Chairperson, Rtd. Major Hajj Abubakar Kalume, and included the Headteacher, Hajj Saleh Mukasa Iga, who briefed the Mufti, members of the UMSC Management, and members of the UMSC Education Committee on the current state of affairs at the school.
The Education Committee members present included Hajj Muhmood Kateregga Namuguzi, the Chairperson, and Hon. Sulaiman Madanda.
Also in attendance were UMSC Management Committee members, including Hadji Abbas Muluubya Ssekyanzi, the Secretary General; Hon. Abdu-Razaq Arinda, the Deputy Secretary General in charge of Planning and Development; and Sheikh Juma Bakhit Cucu, the Education Secretary.
The Mufti and the visiting delegation held discussions on improving Muslim education and strengthening the governance of UMSC-founded schools, including Kasawo Secondary School.
The meeting resolved to enhance engagement and maintain regular interaction to advance the development of Muslim education and the effective management of UMSC schools.
