UMSC Education Department Secures Scholarships and Half Bursaries for Learners
The Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) Education Department has announced the availability of education opportunities for academically exceptional but financially disadvantaged learners. This development was disclosed by Sheikh Juma Bakhit Cucu, the Education Secretary.
These opportunities cover Certificate, Diploma, Higher Diploma, and Bachelor’s Degree programs from various universities in various disciplines, including:
- Nursing
- Midwifery
- Clinical Medicine
- Medical Laboratory
- Human Nutrition
- Environmental Health Sciences
- Medical Records
- Public Health
- Early Childhood Care and Education
- Counselling
Islamic Call University College (ICUC). It is located in Old Kampala at Gaddafi National Mosque Plot 23-25.
They offer different programs like;
- Bachelors of Arts in Islamic Studies and Arabic language
- Bachelors of Arts in Sharia
- Bachelors of Arts with Education
- Bachelors of social work and social Administration
- Bachelors of public Administration
- Bachelors of Arts in conflict Resolution and peace studies
- Bachelors of Business Administration
- Bachelors of Islamic banking and finance
- Bachelors of procurement supplies and logistics management
- Bachelors of Information technology
- Bachelors of mass communication
- Bachelors of tourism and hospitality management
Minimum Admission Requirements for the bachelors’ programmes are;
- UCE (O-Level) Certificate with atleast 5 passes
- UACE (A-Level) certificate with atleast 2 principle passes
- Idaad and Thanawi (for BA in Islamic and Arabic language and BA in sharia)
They also offer diploma and certificate programmes in Education, Early childhood Education, Business Administration, conflict resolution and peace studies, social work and social administration
Minimum admission for diploma requirements are;
UCE “O” Level certificate with atleast 5 passes
UACE Certificate with atleast one priniciple pass and 2 subsidiary passes
